About Our Program
What we do here at YEG Havadoodles!
Our goal at Yeg Havadoodles is to provide a safe and comfortable environment for our puppies to develop and grow. Raised in our living room, we use a combination of Early Neurological Stimulation (ENS), Early Scent Introduction (ESI), and desensitization to common household sounds and grooming tools to ensure that our puppies are ready for anything. Our puppies are given lots of opportunities for play and socialization, helping them become well-adjusted and confident dogs. More details down below!
What is ENS?
ENS or Early Neurological Stimulation is a process we do with the pups starting on Day 3 through 16. These stimulation help to improve:
-
Brain development
-
Circulation and immune system
-
Stimulate the neurological system
-
Improve stress response layer in life
-
Daily physical check of the pups
It shows the pup they are being separated from their mom and siblings for a short period of time. (Helps with Separation Anxiety)
Here are 5 different ways we stimulating the pup. Each step is done for 5 seconds.
-
Tactile Stimulation- Q-Tip rubbed on paws
-
Head Erect - Perpendicular with head up
-
Head Down - Perpendicular with head down
-
Supine - Rest with back in palms
-
Thermal Stimulation - Place on damp cold towel on all fours.
What is ESI?
ESI is Early Scent Introduction. On day 3 through 16 we introduce a new scent to the puppies. When they stay to smell the scent they get a (+) positive. When they try to move away from the scent they get a (-) negative. And when they’re unsure they get a (0) neutral.
This enhances their ability to identify and react to scents.
Introducing natural scents early on can help:
- Introduce puppies to new scents in a controlled way
- Improves scenting ability later on in life.
- Enhances confidence and stability as adults
- Reduce behavioural issues in the long term.
Weight checks, developmental learning and introductions.
We know how important it is to ensure our puppies are healthy from the day they're born. That's why we track their weight, growth, and overall well-being through regular health checks and daily interactions. We also provide an introduction to common grooming tools, such as brushes and clippers, so that your puppy is prepared for their first grooming appointment. We also get them used to car rides in kennels to help with car sickness.
Our puppies are spoiled with plenty of toys to play with and enrichment toys to ensure they are happy and healthy all the time. These enrichment toys include, snuffle mat and ball pit to help develop scent and confidence. We are always adding and trying new things to help our pups grow up confident and happy!

Our Fur Family
We have some updates at YEG Havadoodles. First, our beloved Lexi will be retiring in 2026. She has been an amazing mom, producing beautiful puppies. Additionally, our younger girls, Sadie and Zoey, are projected to be ready for puppies in early 2026. Our previous stud, Copper is now retired. And our friends are kindly allowing us to use Parker as our stud. He is smaller, weighing 12 lbs, so we can expect the litters to be smaller than those produced by Copper.
